The most important land plants used and their effects are described below.

Rosehip seed oil contains many nutrients and active ingredients, and in particular has high alpha linolenic acid content. It stimulates cell renewal and gives the skin long-lasting smoothness. It also promotes the formation of the skin’s natural lipid barrier, or natural acidic layer. ananné uses a certified organic product.

Sea buckthorn oil : Sea buckthorn seed oil has been used in skin care for centuries. It contains anti-oxidants and essential fatty acids that have a regenerative effect and protect the skin from the sun’s rays. Sea buckthorn also supports the skin’s lipid barrier. ananné uses a quality certified organic product.

Bergamot oil is obtained from the skin of bitter oranges. Bergamot oil has wound-healing and anti-inflammatory properties. It also tones the skin, reduces sebum production, and refines the skin’s appearance. ananné uses bergapten-free certified organic oil.

Macadamia nut oil  is rich in vitamins and unsaturated fatty acids. It is easily absorbed by the upper epidermal layers and balances out any potential deficiency in the lipid barrier. ananné uses certified organic macadamia nut oil.

Extracts of papaya leaf  contain many active ingredients which have a purifying effect down to the deeper skin layers and can remove pigmentation spots. The extract promotes the elimination of deposits. ananné uses a certified organic product from a Fair Trade source.

Jojoba oil is extremely easily absorbed by the upper epidermal layers and has optimum tolerance levels. It has antibacterial properties and a moisture-binding effect. ananné uses certified organic jojoba oil.

Borage seed oil and extract have a soothing effect on irritated or reddened skin. They harmonise the skin’s moisture balance.

Evening primrose oil  has an unusually high content of linolenic acid and gamma linolenic acid, which is extremely rare. It stabilises the skin’s lipid protection, has an anti-inflammatory effect, and balances the skin’s moisture content. ananné uses certified organic evening primrose oil.

Many of the plants used, including shea butter, cape chestnut (yangu) oil, and sea buckthorn oil, have natural UV protection. ananné therefore deliberately decided against synthetic UV protection.
