From the sea

The secret behind ananné’s products is their harmonious combination of oils and extracts from land and sea plants. ananné’s formulations use only compatible ingredients that perfectly support each other in combination. When choosing types of extraction, ananné ensures that the desired active ingredients can be obtained in high concentrations and without unwanted by-products.

The most important sea plants used and their effects are described below.

Glasswort extract  has anti-oxidant and deep cleansing properties. It harmonises the skin’s moisture balance.

Samphire extract  (Crithmum maritimum) improves the skin’s inner elasticity through its positive impact on collagen regeneration. It is known as the retinol of the sea.

Indian pennywort  (centella asiatica) extract promotes the rebuilding of skin structure and revitalises the skin’s ability to regenerate, particularly by acting on the formation of collagen I and II.

Brown algae (Laminaria ochroleuca) extract stimulates the skin’s natural protection against damaging UV radiation..

Scenedesmus plankton extract  from the Sahel desert stimulates skin cell metabolism. It helps to eliminate decomposition products, so improving the ability of cells to regenerate.

Many of the plants used, including the brown algae extract mentioned, have natural UV protection. ananné therefore deliberately decided against synthetic UV protection.
